Tuhka (Finnish for “Ash”) is a one-man black metal/ambient project, founded in Oulu, Finland in 2009. The essence of Tuhka revolves around themes of pain, human suffering, the primal beast within, the mystery and philosophy of death, and the exploration of man’s primitive roots. It delves into altered states of consciousness, solitude, deep forests, the mesmerizing cosmos, and the trancelike stillness of twilight — a liminal space between illuminating darkness and blinding light.
