Utmarken

The musical foundation of Utmarken lies in Scandinavian folk music and classic hard rock, where melody, melancholy, epic atmosphere, and clean vocals are defining features. The nyckelharpa holds a prominent place in their sound, and the lyrics revolve around themes such as humanity’s struggle for freedom and survival throughout the ages, local history, and depopulated rural areas. Within the setting of northern Sweden’s nature, the midnight sun occasionally breaks through the dark skies in glimmers of pitch-black humor. Since 2015, Utmarken have released three full-length albums and performed several shows in Sweden and Norway, including supporting Raubtier on their nationwide Swedish tour in the autumn of 2019.
